Alone, in a group, together, or in harmony, the Fiers & Forts love to sing whenever they get the chance. Madame Cécile, as the children affectionately call her, has been enthusiastically leading the music workshop for many years. Through this universal means of communication and expression, everyone discovers their musical sensitivity. Between rhythms and melodies, they enhance their language skills through the song lyrics. These moments always resonate with the joy of being together, listening to each other, and harmonizing.
Connecting with one's musical sensitivity and emotions
Externalizing one's feelings, expressing creativity, and personality
Boosting self-esteem
Listening to oneself
Agreeing with each other
Enriching one's vocabulary in Arabic and French
Discovering instruments with passionate instructors
In the expression room, in the garden, or even at the farm, the singing workshop begins with a time of reconnecting to one's inner world through breathing exercises and meditation, often guided by a child. Discovering the lyrics of a new song is an opportunity to check the understanding of the text and enrich one's vocabulary in multiple languages. Once their voices are warmed up, the children sing in unison or in harmony, following the rhythm and tempo, modulating their voices to create a melodious tune. In some sessions, they are encouraged to sing solo in front of the group, a pleasure for some and a challenge for others, always supported by a caring group. With their enhanced self-confidence, the Fiers & Forts easily surprise us by singing confidently at events in front of a larger audience.
Beyond awakening their musical ear, allowing them to have fun and discover new instruments, music is a valuable educational and therapeutic tool. Children release numerous emotions and leave the session feeling peaceful, joyful, and humming for the rest of the day.

The sweltering August heat is finally easing. The subject of back-to-school begins to mingle with those of the beach and pool, which have happily monopolized the children's conversations since their return from camp. A beautifully decorated letter is slipped under the office door...
If you've joined the Fiers & Forts family recently, you may be wondering whether the Center stays open during the summer... well, yes! The CFF is open 365 days a year, day and night, including weekends and vacations, because it's the home of the children we welcome.
