The Center is a place of life and learning for children in situations of trauma or social distress. It is organized in different spaces dedicated and adapted to the needs of children and adults: daily life, learning, sports and creative activities... without forgetting the garden!
The story of Fiers & Forts begins in a small garage in Tamesloht in 2004. Dorothéa Eijkman Severiens, called Madou by the inhabitants of the village, starts to welcome children who are left on their own in the street. The project develops with the needs, the reality of the children and the reception in boarding school appears as a necessity.
It was ten years later, in 2014, that the Center's story began. The association Al Baraka organizes an auction at the Mamounia and with the support of the Fondation Janelly and Jean-René Fourtouallowing to fund the entire construction and development of the current Fiers & Forts Center.
The center was built specifically to welcome the Fiers & Forts, in a beautiful Moroccan architecture. All the spaces reflect our pedagogy and our mission: to offer a secure and caring environment that allows each child to feel protected and to grow in harmony. Each of these places is essential because it contributes to the balance and the good development of all and to the good life together.

It is in this large and beautiful common house that the Fiers & Forts live together. Within these walls, symbol of a secure environment, girls and boys, boarders and day students, share their daily life, their learning, their emotions...
The days are punctuated by programs adapted and adjusted over the years according to the needs of children and adults.
At the CFF, in addition to the school accompaniment, the various creative and sports mediation workshops, the children actively participate in community life, by rendering services. They are thus co-responsible for their living environment and gradually grow towards their future autonomy, which is the raison d'être and mission of the Fiers & Forts Center.
One of the essential values of the Center is the uniqueness of each individual. Each child benefits from an Individualized Follow-up Project, set up with his or her referent educator during weekly meetings. In addition to the educational team that is closest to the children, the entire team is involved: guards, gardeners, chefs and house fairies. They all have in common this heartfelt enthusiasm and love for the children.
The Center has been welcoming children since 2004 and they have grown up! Some of them are now teenagers, a new stage of life where they learn autonomy, a sense of responsibility, and citizenship. Since their arrival, these Fiers & Forts children give everything to succeed in building themselves and their future. So we cannot let them go on in life without having fulfilled our mission, our promise: to give them all the chances to succeed in becoming fulfilled adults who have found their place in society.
The Maison Fiers & Forts project was born to extend the Center's mission with the goals of:
Adapting support to this specific age
Taking a step towards autonomy
To provide a secure environment for young people, allowing them to pursue their higher education or vocational training with peace of mind
The Maison Fiers & Forts will be a place of transition and training for young people, between the Fiers & Forts Center and working life.
