Our needs

We are often asked for the list of our needs at the Center, so here, dear friends, is this list, as close as possible to our reality. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity, which concretely enables us to provide children with what they need to feel good, to learn, but also to play and be in good health.

If you have a donation idea that is not mentioned, or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at contact@fiersetforts.org

I wish to make a donation to the Center,

At Fiers & Forts, we welcome girls and boys aged 6 to 18 years old.
To give you an idea, recently the shoe sizes ranged from 30 to 45 (with a majority between 37 and 42), and the heights ranged from 1.18m to 1.80m (and they just keep on growing!)

  • Underwear
  • Socks
  • Shoes and flip-flops
  • T-shirt (short-sleeved and long-sleeved)
  • Sweater, sweatshirt
  • Pants, jeans
  • Tracksuits
  • Shorts
  • Dresses, skirts
  • Coats, jackets
  • Even swimsuits!

Even more unique, for the workshops the children participate in every week:

  • Aprons or kitchen outfits, safety shoes
  • Gardening aprons or outfits, gardening gloves

icon attentionIt is necessary for the clothing to be suitable for the children's needs and culture; for example, high-heeled shoes are not really used.

We obviously need all school supplies, but the phrase that best summarizes our needs would be:
'The supplies we think about the least are the ones we need the most!'

The following list is therefore organized starting from the donations we receive less frequently to those we receive more regularly ;)

  • White lab coats (mandatory for school in Morocco)
  • Exercise books (large and small format; 24, 50, or 100 pages, with wide lines)
  • Handwriting practice books
  • Pencil cases
  • Backpacks
  • Correction fluid (liquid or in a pen)
  • Glue sticks
  • Boxes of markers or colored pencils (preferably small boxes for each child)
  • Rulers, set squares, protractors
  • Erasers
  • Pencil sharpeners
  • Scissors
  • Bic pens
  • Pencils

icon attentionThe children do not use fountain pens, so neither erasers nor ink cartridges are needed.

icon attentionOriginal and 'fun' supplies appeal to the children but are not easy to distribute as they can create differences and jealousies.

Art Supplies:

  • White paper A4 - A3
  • Canson paper
  • Colored paper
  • Paint and brushes
  • Stickers
  • Beads, thread, yarn...
  • Chalk

  • If you have other ideas, feel free to get creative!

  • Coloring books
  • Books (primarily in Arabic and French, children are becoming more interested in English, but the level should be very accessible)
  • Board games
  • Toys and games (Kapla, Lego, play kitchen, toy cars, figurines...)
  • Musical instruments

  • Video projector

Sports Equipment:

  • Balls (sometimes we have soccer balls, but rarely basketball, volleyball, handball...)
  • Inflator (we don't have one)
  • Balls, rackets
  • Kimonos (because our children do karate at the Center)
  • Hoops, cones, vests, and more
  • Bicycle repair equipment
  • Roller skates, scooters, skateboards (for our great skatepark)
  • Helmets and protective gear are extremely welcome!

  • This equipment may seem less necessary, but it is also very important because our children need to play, create, and move to thrive!
