In 2004, Dorothea Eijkman Severiens, also known by Madou, decided to set up a project to protect disadvantaged children by creating a place of refuge for them. The result was Fiers & Forts, a centre for the disadvantaged children of Tamesloht, small village situated few kilometers away from Marrakech, Morocco.
Secular and non-political, the Fiers & Forts Centre is part of the fight against social exclusion.
